Submitting Your Site
Some search engines like new pages, some like old pages. Some like to be
updated often, some don't. Some are done by humans, some aren't. Some have
rules, some don't. Some have alliances with other search engines, some don't.
"So, how many search engines will you submit my site to? ABC Competitive
Company will send it to 1,550!" said the confused customer.
Most of these "search engines" are actually called "FFA sites", meaning "Free
For All" sites. They accept links from anyone, provide an autoresponse sales
message, get your email address, sell your information to someone else, then
delete your site to make room for the next sucker.
We track 18 search engines and directories. There may be 25 that are worth
their P/E ratio, but if you do well on the top 18 the others are insignificant
and likely follow suit.
Search engines know where their submissions come from. The Internet is a
footprint specialists heaven. Many believe that certain search engine
submission web sites are tagged by the some of the search engines as low
priority consideration ... if at all. One search engine admitted that sites
submitted from services were penalized, because they were more likely to be
spamming the search engine (not playing by the rules).
The best way to submit your site is right on theirs in accordance to their
rules. That is what we do for you.
